The best part of being over 40 is the freedom of knowing who you are in the pit of your stomach. It’s having the wisdom to trust your gut and make decisions for yourself and being ready and ok with a potential failure. I’m not scared anymore… I’m fearless.
How do you stay fabulous?My method of staying fabulous is generous self care. I take care of myself in ways that I never did before. I understand the value of not always being available. I listen to my body and I honor its requests for sleep, relaxation, exercise, honest conversations with friends… that’s the definition of fabulous.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would dedicate a bulk of this money charity. I run Stolen Voices which is a 501c3 in CA that works on criminal justice reform; helping people who have been negatively impacted by our criminal justice system. I also work with the Children’s Alopecia Project that creates social community for children who have alopecia in its various forms. I mentor children who have this autoimmune disease to help them realize their own fabulous.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
