The wisdom I've acquired throughout my life! Aging gracefully and helping my students overcome adversities. I enjoy sharing advice about my life experiences in hopes they experience less hardships, yet if they do, they are readily equipped to overcome anything! I love my job and my students! I am blessed to be a part of my students lives as they have taught me more than I've taught them! I'm overjoyed to have found my calling and nearing retirement is frightening as it'll be difficult to let go!
How do you stay fabulous?I have a strong support system! My family, friends, and students remind me daily of how blessed I am! I meditate, maintain a grateful heart, and surround myself with those who challenge me! I am aware of the effects I have on my family and students and that helps me stay focused and keeping my eyes on the prize.
What would you do with the $40,000?I am currently the sole provider and caretaker for my mom, who has dementia. I know my father is smiling down from heaven, and my faith plays a huge part in my ability and strength to do it with love. It has taught me patience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, because witnessing your mother slowly withering away is heartbreaking. I would use it to ensure we don't lose our childhood home as its been difficult to maintain 2 homes.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
