Turning 40 felt like an awakening. Turning 40 in Florence, Italy was certainly a power move for entering my 4th decade on Earth. I feel like the knowledge & experience I’ve accumulated up to this point in life can only be a strong force towards greater accomplishments.
How do you stay fabulous?I make it a daily goal to move as much as possible. Resistance training, Peloton, eating mostly whole foods & being very selective with my alcohol consumption, both frequency and selection (wine and charcuterie will always be a yes!) has done wonders for my body companion and mental health. With a background in personal training, a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, and my current profession as a Registered Nurse in the ER, I’ve learned to prioritize strength and practice discipline over destruction.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would invest most of it in something that would produce revenue and a service that keeps giving, perhaps a small, woman-owned business that I’ve always dreamed of starting. But first, I would book plane tickets to Tuscany, Italy for my mother and I for next Thanksgiving so we can pick olives and grapes at my friend’s vineyard. What a gift that would be to share the joy with my closest family and my community.
