Being over 40 has been a transformative journey. My son, whom I raised as a single mom, graduated college and became a board-certified chiropractor with advanced certification in chiropractic biophysics. At 50, I found my soulmate, and I’ve developed a newfound self-confidence and authenticity. I no longer feel the need to fit in or please anyone but myself. I am unapologetically, authentically myself. Embracing my true self has brought me immense freedom and joy. Life just keeps getting better!
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by prioritizing balance in my life. I meditate regularly, eat healthily (with a special love for 70% dark chocolate), and stay active both physically and intellectually. I challenge myself to learn new things and keep up with the music my college students love, which keeps my spirit young. Surrounding myself with love and following my passions fuels my energy and joy. It’s all about nurturing my mind, body, and soul!
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I’d pay off my bills, build an emergency fund, and buy a car to make grocery shopping trips outside NYC easier. While I’d treat myself to some new clothes, my top priority would be to pay off one of my son’s student loans. Finally, I’d love to use a portion of the funds for the honeymoon my husband and I missed due to the pandemic. It would mean so much to celebrate together!
