What do you love about being over 40?

What I love about being over 40 is that the "pressures" I felt when I was younger are no longer with me. It is liberating to know myself well and to confidently pursue the things that make me productive and happy. After nearly a lifetime of being my own worst critic, I am now my best cheerleader. I make conscious efforts to do what is right for me and surround myself with people who are positive. This makes me a better woman - a better mother, teacher, wife, sister, and friend.

How do you stay fabulous?

I stay fabulous by staying grounded in my thinking. I find that I can make clear choices about the things I do in my life. I accept now that I can make mistakes, because I know that mistakes are just opportunities for me to learn and grow. With this mindset, I harness my creativity in everything I do - whether it is making plans for the weekend, entertaining my children, or making my classroom more interesting. Watching my creative efforts come to fruition makes me fabulous!

What would you do with the $40,000?

I would use my creativity with $40,000. There are so many options! One thing I would do is travel with my sons and give them an ultimate, hands-on, experience-based education. When you travel, you learn! Next, I would do something for my students. I would love to do something for them because they are my second family and I love seeing them every day! Finally, I would write and publish a book. I think $40,000 would go a long way for me!
