That I have finally learned to be gentle, kind & compassionate… to myself. Ever the people pleaser often at the expense of my own insecurities, I have allowed myself grace in my mistakes and self validation in my triumphs. Being over 40 is a coming of age in accepting all that you were born with, and knowing that you still have the power and right to self improve, self love and self succeed. It’s actually ok to love myself as much as I love others.
How do you stay fabulous?Daily self care is a must. Skin care. Body care. Zumba, yoga and dance classes. Listening to podcasts about self and professional development. Riding my bike often and raising money for charities. Investing in my own body and never being afraid to show off my quirky side of fashion. Learning to laugh at myself but never be my own worst enemy… and showing nothing but sparkle and light to others around me with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Vegan living and diet have helped me in many ways!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would donate portions of it to all the wonderful cat and animal shelters in my local city. I would also take some of the money with me on the downtown streets to give the homeless especially during the winter so they can sleep indoors. They deserve the most kindness from strangers. Investing some of this money in to my music school to upgrade some of our instruments and start up a charity that allows underprivileged people of all ages in my community free access to music lessons.
