I love being over 40 because it makes me appreciate life so much more than I did when I was younger. This year when I turned 66 years old I gained a greater sense of who I am and what things I want to accomplish in life. The petty things don't matter to me and everyday I gain a deeper appreciation for family, friends and relationships. My experiences have made me wiser and I celebrate life daily not because I think my days are limited but because I know whatever I chose to do is limitless.
How do you stay fabulous?I treat others as I wish to be treated with respect, kindness and dignity and those attributes radiate throughout my being making me feel beautiful inside as well as outside. I take care of myself by eating healthy, exercising, getting enough rest and managing stress by staying positive. I spend my time wisely and love the people around me as well as loving myself.
What would you do with the $40,000?I will complete my airbnb with the money I aquire and donate to "The Alley" a nonprofit youth community center, which is a refuge without a fee, to those youth whom thought they were forgotten. The money will also allow me to hire an additional caregiver to assist with my 89 year old mother who lives with me and has Alzheimer's Dementia. An additional person to assist will be a great help for me and mom due to my working as a full-time RN.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
