I am a 70 year old female powerlifter with 6 world records that started at age 59. By December I will have competed in 71 competitions.

I love that my vision is clearer, and I no longer have the constraints of ego to do things that I want to without the worry of what others will think. I am free to express myself as I see fit. I am confident in my decisions while being aware of my peers and others. I want to make a difference to many different persons, both young and old, My desire is to inspire others to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Everyone needs hope in order to commence change.
How do you stay fabulous?I am true to myself while being kind and caring to others. I demonstrate to people everyday beauty and their own strengths. This in turn keeps me feeling good about myself. I follow a training program 3 times a week and connect with like minded people that keeps me motivated to break barriers of what aging is. I enjoy having colourful hair as it makes me a memorable figure in the community. I am also consistent with my effort and I always persevere even when life throws me obstacles.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would like to continue to take more fitness courses to assist others. I also would use the money to continue to attend more Powerlifting World competitions in the International Powerlifting Federation. There is no financial reimbursements for attending these competitions. This is an unconventional way of empowering others and change the way people think of aging. I had the opportunity to travel to Mongolia and experienced the culture and people via a competition. Travel is education.
