Nothing worthwhile is done in a minute. It takes time to mature and age just like a good scotch! I love being over 40 (and 50) knowing that I’ve taken in all the hints of people who have loved me and incorporated their likes, dislikes, styles, values, etc. to make my authentic unabashed self! Hints of spiciness, a little rebellion but also kindness, faith and grace.
How do you stay fabulous?I work out 4-5 times a week doing a mix of strength training, Pilates and yoga. I am so lucky to have a great group of women I work out with( The Workout Gals-Cathy S., Tina T., Nancy B., Solim J., Jung C. and June M.) who are mostly all older than me but bring the same kick-ass attitude to the workouts. Just as important is the spiritual and emotional maintenance I need with quiet "me" time to reflect and be thankful.
What would you do with the $40,000?3 Passions: $ into growing my floral company, The Petal Designer. Flowers are a luxury but everyone should have beauty in their lives. $ to travel (I’ve been to 48 + countries).Traveling keeps me grounded, appreciating being American and yet also appreciating different people, cultures, perspectives. Lastly, $ for good--we use savings to do random acts of kindness; pay for groceries for the person in front of us, help pay a dental bill, anonymously pay for school supplies, etc.-
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
