What I love about being over 40 is how I got to this point, the mistakes I’ve made and the lessons that have made me who I am today. I’m proud of the way I handle life’s ups and downs with grace and resilience. The relationships I’ve built along the way are now more meaningful and deep and offer a steady support system that may not have been as strong in my earlier years. I know myself better than I ever have which has given me the confidence I always craved. I live life on my own terms :)
How do you stay fabulous?I pay attention to and am more in tune with what my mind and body needs at any given moment. I prioritize self-care more than ever and I set realistic goals for myself. I do things that scare me and try new things all the time which I think keeps my mind curious and open. I believe it’s important to remain adaptable and embrace new experiences until your last day on earth. It’s my goal to lead by example and reshape the narrative on what it means to be a woman over 40.
What would you do with the $40,000?I want to change the landscape of what the media has fed to us about being a woman so I am working on a scripted television series that will tell the stories of women in their 40’s and 50’s in a way that will authentically represent the female experience. I would love to use some of the money to shoot the pilot. I would also use some of the money to fund a prototype I’m building in order to pitch my tech idea to investors. I want to be in a position to help women succeed in the tech space.
