Fab over 40 is positivity & kindness that I put into the world from the inside out and being grateful for my life especially since I’m 50.
We would like to thank you for supporting Laura Melendez in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
At this stage in my life I have experienced a variety of things: love, loss, hardship, being a mother and a wife, different careers and owning a small business, traveling and most recently going back leisurely to a career I had 30 years ago. With these life experiences and my faith, I have gained wisdom and growth to now help my daughters in their own life journey and that is my biggest blessing and reward.
How do you stay fabulous?Having a very supportive and unconditional loving husband (family). I physically live an active life; yoga, paddle boarding, my dogs, prayer, what I put into my body, the actions and kindness I give can truly make me feel fabulous. Just being hand selected, at this point, in this contest, is pure fabulous for me.
What would you do with the $40,000?Not in any one specific order but I would donate to a dog rescue and an animal sanctuary;to Myasthenia Gravis foundation (I have Mg), National BC Foundation and Susan G Komen. I’d take my biggest supporters, my husband and daughters on vacation. Id take my Dad, whom worked till he was 75 years old, on a road trip to Utah & Idaho to visit his brother. I’d gift my sister, who is a Breast Cancer Survivor & Covid widow, to a weekend of eat, pray, love. Thank you so much for this opportunity!
