In the year 2021 I unexpectedly lost my beautiful son Ian. The tragic loss of my child has changed me for the best version of myself!

When you experience something tragic, your life changes instantly. As a result, a new strength has arisen. I have so much more gratitude and have began to enjoy the simple things in life! I have become not only mentally stronger, but I began weightlifting and have gained physical strength. I have placed much more emphasis on my spiritual well-being and have become a better friend and listener to people who may need lifting up. I have a confidence in myself that I did not have at a younger age.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay in fabulous shape both mentally and physically! Daily I write in a gratitude journal and have a spiritual prayer book that I read. I decided this year that I would like to compete in a fitness competition. I hired a personal trainer and have began the process of transforming my physique. Everything is coming together now. When I am asked how I do it..........I go back to the tragic loss of my child and explain that I have a new strength!
What would you do with the $40,000?If I were to win this, I would like to donate money to help complete an elementary playground that is American Disability Act compliant. I am currently a district nurse at a school system and see that there is a need for new playground equipment and for the need for all children to have access to this new playground. Also, I would like to help children who are unable to buy a new school outfit at the start of their school year. Trust me, this would impact a lot of kids!
