The older I get, the happier I am! Things that used to matter, seem silly now. With age comes experience & the knowledge that beauty comes from within. Being real & true to myself both physically & mentally is what matters to me now. I am a fairly recent empty nester & learned to retrain my brain from feeling lonely to feeling blessed. Knowing that I raised successful kids & gave them the tools to spread their wings, makes me not an empty nester, but a bird launcher. What more could I ask for?
How do you stay fabulous?I am changing the question from how do I stay fabulous to how do I do my best to stay fabulous? I am far from fabulous all the time, but that acceptance is part of what makes me fabulous. Do I look like a supermodel? No. Do I do my best to stay fit & in shape? Absolutely. Is every day rainbows & unicorns? No. Do I try my best to have rainbow & unicorn days every day? Absolutely. Part of being fabulous is knowing that not every moment of every day is going to be fabulous, but that that’s ok!
What would you do with the $40,000?During my 2nd bout with breast cancer, one of my sons discovered a process that can save some of your hair. He knew I did not want to be bald again so he sent me the article and $10,000 later, I used a process called cold capping and saved about 60% of my hair. I would use the $40,000 to start a foundation to spread the word about cold capping and offer grants to patients who cannot afford it. I was lucky enough to have friends pitch in to pay for me, but I know not everyone is that blessed.
