I’ve overcome so many obstacles in my life, and rather than allowing them to take a toll, I stood resilient and redirected that energy!

What I love most about being 40+, is the wisdom that comes with this age. While it is a very delicate age in a Woman’s life, for me, it has also been empowering. Some of the fears that I had as a young adult, are seen more as challenges to take on at this age. There is a fierceness and fearlessness that accompanies you when you turn 40! I find myself being more patient with myself as well as others. I’m taking the time to stop and smell the flowers!
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous, for me, is staying hopeful! This world gives so many reasons to throw in the towel, but my faith keeps me centered. It allows me the space to evaluate and realign myself with what’s good in the world. I’m also an avid reader, so I read books of many genres to keep my mind sharp. I enjoy walks with my teenaged daughter and son; which also doubles as therapy sessions for us. Family time is extremely important! These things combined help me live my life like it’s GOLDEN!!
What would you do with the $40,000?Of course, BILLS/Student loan debt! But my desire is to donate a portion to a charity that helps single mothers in need. I’ve found myself needing help as a single mother, and I am grateful for the organizations that helped me, so I hope I can be a blessing to other Women in similar situations. I will also use a portion to help my daughter with her dream of being a full time cosmetologist. I’d also use a portion to help my son get the braces that he needs.
