The best thing about being over 40 is I made it to 40! Every year is a blessing and I take nothing for granted. I love the skin I’m in, even though it looks different from my surgeries. It took me some time to accept the “new me” but I’m so thankful I can call myself a survivor. So these scars are a daily reminder to make each day count. Here to the next decades to come!!
How do you stay fabulous?I run. I fell in love with running after my treatments. The challenge of it, the health benefits of it and the tranquility of it. It’s a physical and mental challenge that I feel keeps me young and strong.
What would you do with the $40,000?Probably the same answer as many - pay off bills. Medical bills add up over the course of cancer treatments and savings get depleted. But I would also be a tad bit selfish and treat myself and my family to a family vacation. Something we have not had in years.
