I turn 42 this year. I am a mom of two daughters ages 9 & 5. I work in NY as a high school counselor. I am running the NYC Marathon 2024.

I love my growth. I have always learned from my mistakes but at this age I not only have knowledge, I have wisdom. I learn to appreciate, have gratitude for everything. As I get older, I appreciate my life more. I want to be present and work on myself. I am working on a hobbies, training for the NYC Marathon and learning how to write a children’s book. Re-learning the importance of how to love myself after having two kids and being a mom. This is a special time in my life.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by practicing self-care and treating people with respect and kindness. I practice compassion at work and in my personal life. I am a social worker so being mindful about my own feelings has helped me become a happier person. The positive energy that I have is teaching my students and that is a very powerful. They are our future and I have confidence that they will be the people who continue to talk about the importance of mental and physical health and well being.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would get rid of mine and my husband’s debt. Growing up in my household we weren’t taught financial literacy. My parents sacrificed their own debt to give us what we needed. I don’t blame them, perhaps they also needed some advice on saving/spending habits. We don’t have a lot of debt but that would be my first thing to do. If I have 15,000 left I would invest in a home to try to make a profit. I am learning about generational wealth which is also something I didn’t know about till I turned 40
