Being over 40 is a beautiful blend of self-discovery and empowerment. My life experiences have given me confidence to go the extra mile. I no longer worry about conforming to societal expectations because I have the wisdom to stay true to myself and my values. This was a pivotal moment in my life as I began to embrace my middle-age years with no regrets. I still celebrate that young, ambitious girl from my youth and am grateful that she shaped me into the woman I am today.
How do you stay fabulous?Being fabulous starts within, by prioritizing self-care for the body, mind and spirit. I start every morning with meditation filled with positive affirmations. This is a great reminder of who I am and all the great things that I can accomplish. I believe you are only as good as the company you keep (said my mama), so I make it a priority to nurture the meaningful relationships in my life and surround myself with strong women that empower and encourage me.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would use the money to launch my subscription beauty box business. I created Kimini Collective with the desire to help woman save time and money by delivering curated beauty products right to their door. Being a woman is hard at times, I hope my boxes will inspire women and be a reminder that they are worth it! A percentage of each box will be donated to help women involved in domestic violence, it’s a way to give back, support and encourage any woman in need.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
