Prioritizing what truly matters, savoring life's little things: love, family, friendship

I love how being over 40 brings a deeper appreciation for the small, meaningful things; like gathering around the kitchen table, sharing food and laughter with my family and friends. There's a richness to every role we play: as a nurse, it's rewarding and humbling to bring comfort and care; as a mother, friend, daughter and wife, it's the love shared that matters the most. Being over 40 is a privilege that many are unable to experience.
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous seems to come naturally with the life I lead! Spending quality time with my loved ones (even my dog!), prioritizing my health through exercise and cooking fresh meals and enriching my life through travel by exploring different cultures all help to keep me vibrant. Embracing continuous learning keeps me feeling alive and excited, allowing me a chance everyday to grow and savor new experiences.
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I would be able to create kindness and meaning. Donating $15,000 to breast cancer research would honor those close to me while helping to support future breakthroughs, which would be a meaningful and powerful tribute to my mother, friend and all those affected. Contributing to a dog rescue would bring much needed help to animals in need and would combine my love for dogs along with my mission of compassion. And finally, I would share the rest with those in need!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
