I have such perspective now that I'm over 40 about living an authentic life-- for me. I don't let people steal my peace and I no longer feel the need to "keep up" with anyone. I only do what makes ME proud and I've learned that supporting other women is worth so much more than being in competition. I work hard-- probably too hard-- but it has ALL been so worth it to craft this life I'm so proud of! I'm enjoying my years modeling happy, healthy, hardworking, true womanhood for my daughter!
How do you stay fabulous?Peace is Priceless! I do the things that I LOVE to do that makes me stronger. I love learning and challenging myself. I'm never afraid to say, "I don't know." I lived enough "life" to say that my faith leads my path and really proud of that. As a photographer, I've learned to now sweat the small things and appreciate the beauty if you remove "the noise" around you. I like that I'm fearless and confident at this stage-- it's definitely a badge I wear proudly!
What would you do with the $40,000?I have earned a vacation in ALL my years of work & keeping the sanity of our home! There are a few opportunities that have come up where I've said, "If I ever fall into some money, I want to help." This would be that help... $10K goes to my kids school. $10K goes to Catholic Charities to help our Fort Worth community. We sacrifice a lot of ourselves for our families, our jobs and those who need us. I could use some time off to disconnect. The rest gets saved for munchkin crew college funds.
