As the saying goes, you don’t know how strong you are until that is your only choice. What do I love about being over? Being alive and thrived despite the obstacles. God told me he would get me through my cancer journey and he would be by my side the entire time, but it was a path he needed me to take in order to help others. We begin with the end in mind. My end? Surviving so I could encourage others AND see my son graduate high school …which happens this year!
How do you stay fabulous?Sharing my testimony with others, speaking to women’s groups offering a word of strength and encouragement. I illustrated a coloring book …The Color Brave, honoring other cancer patients, sharing verses and quotes that I clung to during my own treatment. A portion of proceeds funds a scholarship I created to support a student who lost a parent to cancer.
What would you do with the $40,000?So many things!! A portion of it would definitely be used to help fund my Color Brave scholarship mentioned above. A portion would be used for my family to spend some time away together to celebrate life! And as mentioned, I have a son starting college as well and this would help alleviate the financial burden. Thank you for the opportunity!
