What do you love about being over 40?

At 47, I love that I can make my own choices and have the financial and emotional stability to do what I please. Even in my 40’s I choose daily to grow in my career, physically, intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally. I have embraced my strengths as well as my weaknesses and realize that they are both necessary to keep me grounded and also to keep me hungry for new life experiences. As much as I do enjoy attention, I can proudly say that it has never affected the way that I love myself.

How do you stay fabulous?

10 Steps to staying fabulous: 1. Use a great face wash and moisturizer 2. Read something everyday to keep my mind sharp and build intellectual strength. 3. Get out and run, walk, exercise daily. 4. Wake up to a positive mantra daily. Example: You are strong and capable and beautiful and fabulous! 5. Say a prayer of gratitude every night. 6. Speak to my parents and siblings often. 7. Travel often. 8. Try not sweat the small things. 9. Drink lots of water! 10. Love hard!

What would you do with the $40,000?

With $40,000, I would put a down payment on a house and start to build an adjacent in-law for my parents. Or I would take my parents on a trip to see my mother’s siblings in Louisiana. She has two sisters who are ill and she says she wants to visit them both often.
