What I love about being over 40 is the sense of balance I’ve mastered. As a breast cancer research scientist with a PhD in molecular biology, I’ve built a career I’m proud of that involves developing prevention and treatment strategies to help women fight this disease. Importantly, I stay physically active while also caring for my children and being a loving wife. I feel more confident and and more capable than ever, embracing the challenges of work, family, and fitness with passion.

Balancing a demanding full time career and an active lifestyle while being a dedicated mom and wife can be challenging! To stay fabulous over 40, I prioritize self-care: maintain a balanced diet, get quality sleep, and manage stress with hobbies including running, mountain biking, skiing, and strength training. Even better, I enjoy some of these activities WITH my family! Most importantly, I celebrate myself and my achievements. I hope my passion and dedication is inspiring to my 2 little girls.

If I won $40,000, I’d first put $20,000 toward paying down our $60,000 in student loan debt to ease that burden. Then, I’d invest $10,000 in family adventures—maybe a dream ski trip or mountain biking getaway to create lasting memories. With $5,000, I’d upgrade our condos to make them more functional and cozy. Finally, I’d spend $5,000 on fitness gear and experiences to keep pushing my limits and staying fabulous in my 40s!
