I came back to life after 40. I had a rough perimenopause that completely wiped me out. I went on to become a mom for the first time at 46.

What I love being over 40 is that I feel that I have been able to reinvent myself. Not just once but twice so far and I’m looking forward to doing that again when I turn 60 next year. Your confidence grows as you get older, which no one talks about! That really sets a fire to try new things that you would not have tried when you were younger. I feel more like the version of myself that I always dreamed about.
How do you stay fabulous?Fabulous for me is looking after myself more with my diet & exercise. I do yoga, strength training and bike riding. My daughter is also my inspiration to stay fabulous. Being an older mom means that many of my girlfriends are younger than me. I enjoy being a guide to them as I wish that I had someone like that to walk me through hormonal changes, stresses of motherhood and just knowing that if I can get through this and thrive on the other side, anyone can!
What would you do with the $40,000?It’s like winning the lady lottery! I would use some of it to contribute or start something with my “menoposse”. Getting the word out to women in their 40’s & 50’s about the options for better quality care, treatments and education. It’s an exciting time to be a woman leading the charge for those who come after us so we are aware of all of our options to live strong going forward to our 60’s and beyond. I would love to expand my reach on social media showcasing that and my passion for fashion.
