After losing my husband to cancer, I lost interest in my career, parenting, and life. However, I made the decision to live fully for my 9-year-old child. I focus on deepening our bond, and together we overcome challenges as a team.In my 40s, I experienced the pandemic and the loss of my husband, but I've learned to navigate these hardships. Now, I run a business that allows me to contribute positively to others. This journey has taught me resilience and the importance of support.
How do you stay fabulous?I lost my confidence for a while, but I’ve gradually started taking care of myself again. I enjoy taking walks on the beach and, since I’ve always loved fashion, I’ve begun wearing makeup again. With more opportunities to meet people through work, I’m finding a renewed sense of purpose. I make it a priority to spend time in nature and cherish the moments I have with my son.
What would you do with the $40,000?In my business, I am running an academy in California that uses the unique Japanese culture as a teaching tool to help high school students, university students in the pre-college stage, and new employees of companies learn leadership skills. I would like to fund its operation.
