Connect What do you love about being over 40?

Age has given me the confidence, perspective and, self-knowledge to know what I want out of life and to go after what I want! I'm better at identifying the people I want in my life, those who build me up and support me when I need it and those who push me to be better. I still make mistakes in life but age has given me the grace to forgive myself and others and, to move past my mistakes, learning and growing along the way.

How do you stay fabulous?

Attitude and self care! As women, it is so often too easy to take care of everyone else and forget about ourselves. Finding the balance between taking care of others and ourselves is integral to a positive attitude; something I learned with age. Staying active, regularly working out, hiking, golf keep me fit. Eating healthy and delicious food provides fun and energy. A good skincare regimen gives me a glow. My friends and family complete the picture with fun and tons of love.

What would you do with the $40,000?

First, I'd give a portion to Blanchet House, an organization I have volunteered with for a number of years. BH helps those with addiction and mental illness and runs a soup kitchen as part of their multi-step program. My daughter is graduating from high school in June and she would like to see Italy and Greece; I would love to take her on a special mother-daughter trip before she heads to college. Finally, I would save for future adventures and maybe a move across the country.
