I am a single mother of two beautiful girls born ten years apart. I work as a high risk school social worker and I love caring for others!

Honestly, I’m happy to be comfortable in my own body and being who I am. My teens, twenties, and even a good part of my thirties were spent engaging in activities and/or acting in ways I thought others/society expected. At 40, I’m confident in my authenticity and I try to teach the importance of that to my children daily.
How do you stay fabulous?I wake up 30 minutes before my “necessary” week time every day to have half an hour of time for just me. Sometimes I sip my coffee and journal, sometimes I walk on the treadmill while I watch the news, while other times I just sit outside and zone out on Amazon or Pinterest. I have learned to “forgive myself” for not being busy or productive at every moment of every day. Those moments are mine and they fuel me necessary energy to be a present provider and mother throughout the rest of the day.
What would you do with the $40,000?That is a tough question! First, I would put some aside for each child for college. Even a small amount would be cushion/starter for them. I have also been considering converting my large garage into a master suite. That would leave the current master bedroom open for guests. We have several family members that live out of town and it would be nice to offer them a bed/bath combo when they come stay for extended periods of time rather than having to share the hall bathroom with my girls!
