In many ways, I felt like I didn’t hit my stride until my 40s. I feel more confident in my career and even in my own skin. It’s easier for me to say no, when necessary, and preserve my peace when needed. I’m happy around my community, and I’m now at a place in my life where I can finally give back to others and mentor the next generation too.
How do you stay fabulous?Keeping a positive mind set. Keeping my mind, body, and spirit happy and feeding all of it with good intentions. I enjoy working out and typically do yoga, HIIT, rowing, and dancing. I also am active in the car community — I love meeting other car enthusiasts and learning how to work on my Miata. I am trying to cultivate a young and healthy mindset in life by always staying curious and asking lots of silly questions.
What would you do with the $40,000?I finally own property. It took years but I own a condo. I’ve never owned anything before, I have rented my whole life. With this money, I’d like to turn my condo into more of a sanctuary for myself and for family and friends to visit. Home is so important to me, especially after my divorce, and cultivating a healthy and positive living space for me (and others) will hopefully bring people together. I’d like to have cooking classes, host book clubs, and plan get togethers with my car groups.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
