What do you love about being over 40?

I enjoy helping others navigate through life; whether they are brain injury survivors, dealing with mental health or facing similar challenges. I have been through a lot dealing with my disabilities and I am now able to help others because of it. I am proud of being a survivor and can’t wait to see what else I can accomplish in this lifetime!

How do you stay fabulous?

I enjoy being an aunty to 4 beautiful nieces. I get to play and act silly all the time! Most of all is the reward of being able to help others in need. It feels awesome putting smiles on peoples faces! This year I was blessed to have a service dog name Blu who keeps me fabulous! Blu helps me stay active and feeling alive again!

What would you do with the $40,000?

I would start an art program at The Opportunity Centre, a not for profit day program for brain injury survivors. Art therapy is necessary for the brain to heal and it was cut from the budget. I also want to be a sponsor for Camp Dawn, a camp for brain injury survivors. Not all campers can afford the fees, so i want to alleviate some costs to campers. Finally I would like treatments for myself such as vision therapy, occupational therapy, glasses, orthotics and a walker
