Connect What do you love about being over 40?

I think, I love the wisdom from the lessons I’ve experienced. I feel I am more self assured, and have less self doubt. I still struggle with many things in my life? But, I feel like, I don’t fight the changes, or what I feel is meant to happen, to make me learn,and evolve. I think aging, is a process where we learn to love ourselves all over again in a different way. I feel it has changed and opened my perspective on a lot of things, primarily, what’s important in my life. I choose love.

How do you stay fabulous?

I practice self care Sundays. It’s kind of been a ritual I’ve been doing since I was young. You gotta pluck those eyebrows and wax that upper lip. I try to use natural soaps, like clay/carbolic/tea tree oil. I think what’s really important is to take one day out of the week to groom oneself. I believe having a constant, consistent routine, heeds results.

What would you do with the $40,000?

I’ll be honest and say, it’ll keep me afloat for now? As I myself, like many, are currently unemployed, and looking for a job on the side. I think I’d use the money to help me continue to build my own business. It’s at its very beginning stages. I am currently hand making jewelry to sell at a store and exploring unfamiliar territory. I also am building my profile page for Etsy and learning how to sell things online. Like many, I have dreamed to leave the workforce, and I’m trying to do that now.
