I love that I’m at a point in my life where I have just enough experience to truly understand and enjoy life from the perspective of the wisdom I've gained over the years. At the same time, I’m still young enough to fully appreciate and enjoy all that I’ve worked for and built for myself. At 40, I know myself better than ever, understanding my needs, wants and boundaries and my worth and its a beautiful thing.
How do you stay fabulous?Aside from being blessed with great genes, I’ve always been health-conscious, which has greatly contributed to creating a lifestyle centered around fitness and a healthy mindset. Since 2020, I’ve become even more serious about my health and overall well-being—both inside and out. Internally, I focus on prayer and gratitude to God, which keeps my mind and spirit young and helps me stay humble. I choose to surround myself with people who pour into my cup and bring peace into my life.
What would you do with the $40,000?Over the last two years since January 2023, I’ve added another important role to my skill sets by founding the SHINING LIGHTE (Leaders in Generational Healing Through Empowerment and Education) Youth Charity (S.L.Y.C), which focuses on serving underserved youth in Toronto and surrounding areas and will eventually expand globally. When awarded the $40,000, I will donate it to the charity to launch our new Literacy Life Skills program in addition to building the charity’s capacity.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
