Being 100% myself and not having to "fit in." I don't have to worry about other people's expectations, even more so when I passed 70. Life is short and I plan on living true to myself without compromise. It's easier and better to be honest, kind and free of societal obligations.
How do you stay fabulous?I practice qigong twice a day, do a floor barre and exercises in the AM, and face yoga exercises. My theater community keeps me busy and challenged with roles, and my friends are also interesting people who I love spending time with. My husband is a musician so I also share his scene, so music is a big part of my life.
What would you do with the $40,000?We have been struggling with housing insecurity, as our building is being sold and we are priced out of NYC market. We could use it to get a rent stabilized apartment, to pay the fees, etc. It's not glamorous but that's what is on my mind. We just want to stay in NYC so we can continue to be artists and live a dignified life.
