Connect What do you love about being over 40?

I always thought the # 40 sounded so old when I was younger. Reality is that age is just a #. Looking back on my life I think this has been the best decade yet. I have formed amazing friendships , I have 2 beautiful children that are old enough to create memories with and they will actually remember. I have an amazing husband who after 12 yrs of marriage knows my love language, and I have built a beautiful career for myself. I think I finally know myself and what I want from this beautiful life.

How do you stay fabulous?

I have a rare disease called ankylosing spondylitis which affects my spine. My body is in pain 30% of my day so I have to find ways to not just look young but feel young. Low impact exercises like yoga and Pilates help me strengthen my core and back. I have to eat low inflammatory foods as well to minimize inflammation in my body. I do finally realize that our physical bodies are so connected to how we fuel ourselves. Too much of anything like sugar , alcohol , or greasy foods can cause harm.

What would you do with the $40,000?

This is such a fun question that I don’t have an answer to. I would probably have a health and wellness account set up so I can continue to look fab but more importantly feel fab . I could use it for holistic approaches to healing my disease. I would also give a percentage of my earnings to the ankylosing spondylitis research foundation.
