Most people are stressed about turning 40. When my 40th birthday was approaching it just felt like a new beginning for me. I felt as healthy as my thirties. I was more in shape! I felt amazing so I did amazing things! I tried new foods, traveled, parasailed for the first time. I bought myself whatever I wanted without worry about my account balance. Now at 43 I still feel that same level of excitement and continue to live young and freely.
How do you stay fabulous?I devote a lot of time focusing on my mental, physical and spiritual health. I have daily regimens that I follow such as workout routines, skin care routines, journaling and meditation. I love exploring with fashion, hair and makeup to keep my look fresh! I also spend lots of time with family to balance my personal life outside of work.
What would you do with the $40,000?My mother passed away at the young age of 59 last year due to heart complications. Her passing away so suddenly at such a young age made me feel like it should be discussed more. I would like to be an advocate for women and the importance of heart health. I would like to start a nonprofit organization that provides heart screenings for women who can’t afford to pay. I would also invest in a fitness apparel brand named Vicky Vixen after my mom. The brand would promote the importance of cardio.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
