I recently lost 70 pounds and am finally feeling comfortable in all my skin, imperfections and all. I’ve also been a teacher for 22 years.

I feel like I’ve come into my own. So many women really struggle feeling comfy in their own skin but finally at 44, I know who I am. I am confident in my choices. I’ve started to really find my voice and am not afraid to stand up for myself. That’s not to say it isn’t a challenge- every day I have to find the courage to keep a positive attitude and do good in the world- and for myself.
How do you stay fabulous?First, I take care of my needs. I’m up early. I do my skincare and get ready Then I get to work and I swear my students keep me energized. I hope I make a good impact on them. When I get home, it’s quality time with my family and then with myself. I relish in my solo walks and to continue self care, some retinol and red light therapy! But most of all I LIVE! I use my energy to explore the world around me. Someone told me that being with me is always an adventure and that’s how I want it to be!
What would you do with the $40,000?I’d love to do a fun trip with my family and then do something valuable for my students. So many of them don’t get to explore NYC, so the gift of adventure would be great. Lastly, I’d do something for myself. Continuing on my weight loss journey, I would get skin removal surgery, as it hinders some activity- but I wouldn’t let it stop me anyway!
