I love being from a time before the internet and many modern conveniences and sharing those experiences with my kids. I LOVE that I grew up in the 80's and have such fond memories of the fashion and music trends from that time period. I also love being in my 50's. I am finally at a point where I love myself and accept my body more than I ever have, and that I am confident with the direction my life is headed.
How do you stay fabulous?The most important thing for me is staying mentally healthy, and spending time with those who most support and encourage me. I do not smoke and rarely drink alcohol. I limit sugar intake and fast food. I use sunscreen daily. I stay active and am always trying new things such as taking flower design classes, volunteering as a costume designer in local theatres, and starting an Instagram page for the 0ver-50 midsize mom crowd.
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I would first save some for emergencies. Then, I would take my family on a cruise vacation with Royal Caribbean for my mom's 76th birthday. I would use about $600 to take my kids skydiving for a once-in-a-lifetime birthday gift for their 18th and 20th birthdays next summer. Then I'd put the rest towards their college education.
