I LOVE the confidence that comes with being a bit older. I work in a high school, and I can still relate to the teenagers here as I have teens of my own, and even listen to the same music as most people in the demographic. But I'm still "old" enough to be a "mom figure", and help provide some guidance and direction. I love realizing that I am more open to new experiences as I age - why NOT try Thai cooking or even skydiving?
How do you stay fabulous?I am honestly just consistently positive - I always look at the bright side of everything, and always have hope that bad situations can and will get better. I spread that positivity to everyone I come in contact with - from the server at my morning coffee stop to the students I see at work every day to, especially, my kids and husband at home. Having an optimistic mindset makes me feel both youthful and fabulous all the time!
What would you do with the $40,000?This is such a hard question to answer! I have twins who are starting university next year, so I would definitely put aside some money for that. My dad is 78 and still works full time. I'd love to send him and my mom on a little vacation. My awesome mother-in-law lives alone in a small condo with the world's ugliest kitchen floor. I would love to get it replaced for her. And it's my husband's 50th birthday this December, so he'd get hockey tickets! And I would treat myself to a Pina Colada!
