I use my experience with mental illness to help guide others through their struggles and offer my support. Even if it's just to listen.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jessica Adams in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I'm more in touch with who I am and not trying to fit the mold of society's standard of beauty. Living with mental health struggles, I've have learned to love my body and not fall into the trap society puts on all of us. I no longer use other's opinions of me and focus on what makes me happy. My true friends and family are my foundation of stable, loyal, healthy relationships that fosters personal growth. I use my experiences to help nuture and guide others who struggle as well.
How do you stay fabulous?I walk 20 minutes a day, eat healthy, and focus on growing and learning. I drink a lot of water to keep my skin hydrated. I read material that fosters a healthy mindset. I practice positivity and look at the bright side things. It took me many years to understand self-love and appreciation for the simple things in life. I am working on letting go of the past not worrying about the future and just being present in every moment I have with loved ones.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would use that to put a down payment on home for my family and help find resources to help with my special needs daughter maintain a comfortable happy life as much I can. I would also love to complete my degree in psychology to own my own practice to help ours in need to support and guidance.
