The way I now love myself! I spent most of my life living for other people (sound familiar, ladies?), and it took me decades to learn that having a servant’s heart doesn’t preclude me from having strong boundaries or seeking joy for myself. The last 10 years have not been easy: a divorce and med school with 2 children, residency during a pandemic, and starting my career months before losing my father. Yet every step brings me closer to myself and to a heart of gratitude. So thankful!
How do you stay fabulous?By truly loving myself, embracing authenticity, regarding every day as an occasion worth celebrating, investing in myself, and by supporting my favorite local Med Spa! 😉. I talk to my patients often about “living well” - and that’s what I try to do. Staying well-rested and well-hydrated, eating nutritious foods (and only eating when hungry), UV-protection, moving our bodies and taking time for introspection each day - these are all foundations of healthy living that keep us all fabulous!
What would you do with the $40,000?After having the obligatory teaching moment with my children about saving/investing a portion of the money, the rest would likely go toward a family trip. It would certainly be used for the purpose of making good memories with the people I love the most.
