Being 40+ has its perks. The young don’t refer to you as old, and the old believe you’re in your prime. This is what you call the best of both worlds! On a serious note, at 40+ years of age, I’ve come to love life’s journey. This includes slowing down in order to find peace through trials. It means being present in the present time. There is no greater joy than seeing a child ecstatic because you are present in their life. It’s truly humbling and oh-so rewarding!
How do you stay fabulous?Fabulous is simply a state of mind, and it hinges on how you feel about yourself. Feeling fabulous can also contribute to your overall well-being. I attempt to stay fab by watching what I eat, visiting a gym regularly, maintaining a healthy skin care routine, and dressing appropriately for all functions (i.e., work, dinner, etc.). The first impression - they say - will always be the most important.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would love to take a lavish vacation! However, my calling is to mentor young ladies. I would, therefore, use a large portion of the award to grow my scholarship program and invest further into these young lives. This would further ensure their year as a poultry representative is educational & tuition bearable. I would utilize the remainder of the funds to invest into my businesses, a rental company & a home repair company. These investments would strengthen my family’s financial future.
