What do you love about being over 40?

I am a new person. I feel that I have perfected who I am and who I want to be. I have switched careers, gotten remarried, but most importantly, I have left my old traits behind. I no longer people please. I am 100% whole heartedly me…and with no excuses. I live 100% honestly. I’ve stopped apologizing. What I mean by that is I no longer try to placate people. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. No one has to guess when they know me. I love that I worked so hard to get here.

How do you stay fabulous?

I have Crohn’s Disease so I take holistic health very seriously. I eat completely clean. I work out 5-6 days a week. I go to functional doctors that get to the root cause of illnesses. I have acupuncture every month to stay healthy and keep my disease in remission. I believe this goes along with living an honest life. Becoming me has helped my whole body. I’ve most recently started having EMDR therapy to reprocess trauma. I need all of these different things so I can live my best life altogether

What would you do with the $40,000?

I’m completing my Masters of Clinical Counseling. Eight years ago I earned my Masters of Education where I went from being a stay at home mother in an abusive marriage to a full time teaching career. I then realized from working at a title one school just how much I was counseling kids more than teaching. So now I’m about to be a therapist! I would LOVE to pay off some of my student loans!!
