I am 56 and loving life. I am an RN, working in hospice helping patients & families, a single mom of 6 kids and soon 6 grandkids!

What I love the most about being over 40 is having a better perspective on life. Wisdom accumulated over the years has allowed me to appreciate the little things in life and has given me permission to slow down to take it all in. I say yes to the things that are in alignment with the life I want. I say no to those things that no longer serve me, without hesitation. I have discovered one of the best gifts you can give yourself is living a life of gratitude.
How do you stay fabulous?I follow a sleep routine to ensure quality sleep every night. I stay active every day. I eat healthy (with a focus on gut health) and try to limit sweets. However, I don’t deny myself an occasional piece of chocolate :). I make a point to get outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. I take vitamins daily. I connect with family and friends on a regular basis. When I am stressed I mediate, journal. practice yoga, listen to music and watch something funny. Laughter is the best medicine!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would rent a house on the beach for a week big enough to accommodate my 6 kids and their families, so we could all spend some quality time together. Anything remaining would go toward bills.
