I am an electronic music DJ from the Dallas Fort Worth area who returned to djing after a 20 year hiatus. I mentor djs and play often.

The freedom to be comfortable in my own skin is the single most gratifying milestone I think I have reached in my lifetime. I am less worried about what other people think about me or where I fit in, and more concerned about issues that my community faces. It is a freedom to look outside myself, and realize there is a bigger picture and my unique views on life are not necessarily wrong but much needed in the world so ever changing.
How do you stay fabulous?This is an amazing question. I believe my spirit hasn’t changed much in twenty years. The music I am a part of keeps me youthful and young. Every song, every melody brings new life and beauty into the world- I am just lucky to be so close to it that it rubs off on me. On the physical aspect of things - I dance all the time and I attend electronic music events every weekend so lots of cardio. I get asked a lot about my bright pink hair- I use Cake co-wash to keep the color bright and vibrant.
What would you do with the $40,000?Honestly with 40,000 dollars I would put a down payment on a house that has enough room for my small business and a studio room so that I can finally work one on one with the new djs who want to learn more about the business. I would be able to get this kickstarted and off the ground in a way that is impactful.
