I’ve been through a lot up until 40. Each part of my journey validates my resilience and desire to be a better version of me. I’ve overcome divorce, dealing with physical sickness, being a present hands on single mom while working full time. Everyday I choose to find that version of me that wants to be better. What I love most about being over 40 is despite the obstacles, I still feel like a curious child waiting for what’s next.
How do you stay fabulous?I used to be a huge people pleaser, so much that I dropped out of school on a full scholarship to chase after false hope. I learned the importance of self love through prayer, meditation and intuition. On a daily basis I practice mindfulness, affirm myself and rely on my spirituality to guide me. I also listen a lot to my body, and try to stay away from foods that will cause inflammation, causing my body to shut down.
What would you do with the $40,000?It’s been a bumpy road for my children these last few years due to me getting a divorce. They still talk about the house I previously owned. I would like to put money towards a place they can call home again.
