What do you love about being over 40?

I remember when I was in my early 20's and thinking how 40 seemed so "old" and then came my 30's and now here I am in my 40's and I can honestly say that I am loving it! There is a genuine and unique wisdom that you gain as you age and you learn to care more about what truly matters and less about fleeting concerns. I think this chapter of fabulously over 40 for me has also come with a beautiful courage which continues to push me toward my goals.

How do you stay fabulous?

I feel the most fabulous when my mind is at peace, I focus on the "glimmers" in my every day life which are small positive moments or things that bring me joy. Sure, some days I am searching for them more often than others but I do believe that everyone is surrounded by glimmers and you just have to keep a positive mindset to find them. Aside from doing my best to eat healthy and to exercise, keeping a happy mindset is what keeps me feeling fabulous!

What would you do with the $40,000?

If I were awarded the $40,000, it wouldn't just be about reaching my goals—it would be about creating ripples of change. By day, I am a small business owner, helping small businesses with affordable marketing and by night I am launching and growing my nonprofit that is shining a light on mental health awareness through supportive resources, healing and hope for not only those living with a mental illness but also their caregivers.
