Being a survivor of domestic abuse, I pursued my dream of becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, advocating for women.

I am more aware of who I am and have grown a deep acceptance and love for myself. I believe our mental health is a reflection of our overall holistic health. Additionally, I enjoy experimenting with healthy cooking and maintaining an active workout routine. I stay intellectually stimulated by expanding my knowledge in the mental health field, specifically in healing from complex trauma. I value enjoyment and play, exploring and taking risks in adventures like paddleboarding and rock climbing
How do you stay fabulous?Women who are also mothers, and wives tend to be stretched thin with caretaking for family and domestic responsibilities. I believe staying fabulous means that you have healthy boundaries to protect your personal self care, without feeling guilty! Continuing to discipline and heal our mind and thoughts, leads to empowerment and a healthy reflection in our outward life. I keep a close group of beautiful women who invigorate, challenge, and support me.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would benefit from this incredible opportunity by paying off my student loans and helping to repair costs incurred currently from divorce from domestic abuse. I was a devoted wife of 19 years, who supported my husbands' career. Now I am on my own, financially this would allow me to continue to pursue my dream of Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, and give me the opportunity to pay off medical bills I have incurred over the past year.
