Turning 40 was like getting a new lease on life! No longer were other's opinions of me important - what I thought and felt about myself was what was important. I no longer asked was I 'good enough' and the best person for a partner BUT rather was he good enough and the best fit for me. I recognized I had a fabulous life and chose to become more independent, more cognizant of who I chose to spend time with, and strove to surround myself with people who challenged me to be a better person.
How do you stay fabulous?My Pastor once said we should begin each day asking ourselves how can we make someone else's life better? That helps me to truly appreciate what I have in life. When I know I am going to be facing a difficult situation that day - I think what can I do to contribute to a positive outcome in this. Stay kind/ loving and appreciate when it comes back to me tenfold. I check in with my fabulous friends, work part-time with my Bestie, and hug/love on my grandkids as much as they let me!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would retire, play and focus on me!! I would pay off some bills so I could enjoy life on a limited income. I would plan a crazy, wild, wonderful weekend with my daughter and 3 grandkids - all on me! Also some simple things like monthly massages, nail care, dinner out with friends MUCH more often, tithe some to my Church, and best of all have a bonfire complete with a steak cookout and celebrate this win with people I truly love and appreciate!
