I love feeling youthful and over 40. I've put miles on my body from dancing and performing since I was 7. I create movement now and still love the arts. As a Community School Director in a Brooklyn, NY elementary, I manage a tax levy budget to provide arts enrichment, professional development, and family engagement activities. It feels good to positively contribute to a school's culture. Years in the arts and youth development has shaped my mission to encourage others to shine brightly.
How do you stay fabulous?I'm a black women, Belizean, Filipino, and Indian. I stay fabulous by doing things that make me feel happy and most like me. I dance around the house. I put on sparkly makeup. I dress in a comfortable, colorful, and stylish wardrobe that inspires joy. My nails are fun, a recent accessory. My hair is big and curly - bigger the better. I was born in love and decided to live in love.
What would you do with the $40,000?My mission is to uplift and inspire others to seek and see their passions and dreams realized. I'd like to lead retreats for women, BIPOC LGBTQAI+ people, and queer couples to build community, self love, and to experience rest and wellness. Rest, movement, healthy foods, and meaningful experiences are essential. We need to take care of ourselves and each other. I'd like to create that beautiful space for the community.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
