That saying ‘I wish I knew then what I know now’. There is nothing I would trade from my 30’s for the wisdom I have gained in my 40’s. I still was a product of the generation of women that leaned towards people pleasing and short-changing yourself, but somehow when I turned 40 I realized I had lived long enough to trust myself, trust my instinct, felt deserving of having an opinion that could be shared. I felt I have ‘earned’ this by making it to 40. It was a rite of passage into self trust.
How do you stay fabulous?I confess I have many tools I implement that contribute to being content with my age. I was a professional dancer for 25 yrs so that gave me discipline I still carry with me today. As an esthetician and practitioner in the wellness space I am up to date on all things beauty and wellness, but truth be told, the number one key I have found to looking and feeling one’s best is inner peace. For me that’s maintained with beach walks, pups snuggles, giving back and sincere and deep relationships
What would you do with the $40,000?Oh so much! It would be put to use for two business ideas that I have. One dream is a coffee shop that is dog friendly in my local community. My idea is for this to also serve as a meeting place for communal pot lucks, a place for artists to showcase their talents and offer a wide range of other classes and speakers, all to strengthen our communal bonds. The other is a volunteer venture having a bus I named the ‘Senior ‘Spa-rkle ‘ Bus’ that would go around offering spa services to nursing homes
