Being early 40’s is liberating. If I don’t want to do something, I don’t. It’s like a whole world of new ideas and thought processes mentally. The focus changes. For me, I choose my focus, and 40, specifically for me, came with so much compassion(and pain, plus joy). Since turning 40, My husband and I were foster parents for over 9 children during Covid, while undergoing fertility treatment via IVF to create our family we’d been waiting so painfully for, and let me tell you, that was some STUFF

I don’t know about “fabulous”, but my husband sure does help me feel pretty bomb, Inside and out. Having a baby, a Csection etc. and breastfeeding for over 2 years now… it’ll change your perspective on what fabulous really means. Women are the most amazing life giving creatures! I recently decided to grow out my white hair, and it’s been invigorating and empowering.

Goodness, we’ve been through some super challenging obstacles in the past few years. We had to take out a heloc on our home to afford IVF treatments, my husband developed a neurological condition where he cannot play his instrument any longer, so I supported him the last 4 years while he went back to school, and right when he graduated, I got let go. We’ve accrued some sizable debt with IVF & School & I’d like to become a board certified lactation consultant, so this would be life altering!
