One of my fav books, Untamed, discusses how women often define themselves by their roles -mother, wife, career-woman-but these roles can shift. I realized I was living this way and, approaching 40, I chose to live on my own terms. I set out to rediscover my passions, created a bucket list, traveled, and started journaling. What I love about turning 40 is the balance I've found, cherishing the wisdom that comes with age, while discovering new passions.
How do you stay fabulous?I surround myself with uplifting people and embrace opportunities by saying 'yes' more often. I ask for what I want, take chances, and pursue what makes me feel alive. Helping a friend transition from a 17-year career to starting her own business inspired me to step out of my comfort zone, including this contest. I invest in others, knowing we reflect those around us. I understand that my actions shape the future, and I work hard to create a better world for my daughter and her generation.
What would you do with the $40,000?Turning 40 made me realize I could be halfway through this journey called life. It prompted me to reflect on what I want to do moving forward—help others and seek new life experiences. If I were to win the $40,000, I would use part of the funds to support single women in overcoming challenges and reducing barriers to their success. The rest would go toward travel, helping me gain a deeper understanding of the world.
